Union Minister of State for AYUSH Dr. Munjpara Mahendrabhai said today, that the Government is giving more focus to homeopathy treatment at hospitals for the convenience of common people. Dr. Mahendrabhai inaugurated a regional conference of the Central Council for Research in Homeopathy in Kolkata today. He said, homeopathy treatment is available in every primary health centre, district hospital, and AIIMS in the country. AIIMS hospitals also provide homeopathy treatment at a low cost.

The Minister said, that before 2014, AYUSH was not given so much importance.  After the present Government came to power, the Prime Minister made AYUSH a separate Ministry and increased the allocation four times in this field. The Government is determined to provide homeopathy treatment to the marginalized people in the country. He requested everyone to take the facility of homeopathy treatment. He said, a big conference was organized in Delhi on the occasion of Hahnemann's birthday on the 10th of April. He stated it is not limited to Delhi as four regional conferences are also being organized across the country. He remarked that as Calcutta is homeopathy's workplace, the regional conference of West Bengal and North East region is being held in this city. In this two-day conference, various issues regarding the promotion of homeopathy treatment and research will be discussed.
