Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis today said his government is committed to the empowerment of farmers and has the utmost respect for the constitution. He was addressing a press conference in Nagpur ahead of the winter session of the Maharashtra assembly today. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar were present on this occasion.
While addressing the media persons after the swearing-in ceremony of 39 ministers of the ruling Mahayuti alliance in Nagpur, Devendra Fadnavis also said that performance audits of all these ministers will be assessed over the next 2.5 years. He informed us that his government has given justice to soybean and paddy cultivators by assuring the MSP and subsidy. The Chief Minister also clarified that the violent incidents in Parbhani district are not justified, as the unconstitutional means were used by some people to register the protest over the vandalising of the constitution statue by a lunatic person in Parbhani a few days back. He assured the state government has the utmost respect towards the constitution.
The weeklong assembly session of the Maharashtra assembly is going to begin tomorrow. The opposition, Mahavikas Aghadi, has already boycotted the customary tea party hosted by the government in Nagpur over issues like violent incidents in Parbhani and Beed as well as contractual employment and the short tenure of assembly sessions.
