The government has distributed around 13 lakh 5 star energy saving LED bulbs last year in the country. These 5 star-rated LED bulbs help in saving energy and it is being provided at a subsidised rate to the consumers through Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL).

Replying to the supplementaries in Lok Sabha today, Minister of Power Manohar Lal Khattar informed the house there is ample availability of LED bulbs in the country and more than 2.6 crore Bulbs have been distributed in Uttar Pradesh alone till date.
