Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said the government is committed to improving the infrastructure of academic institutions across the country.
Briefing the media in New Delhi today on efforts in the education sector, Mr. Pradhan highlighted that in the last eight years, there has been a 130 percent increase in per-child expenditure. The amount, which was 10 thousand 780 rupees in 2013-14, has now risen to 25 thousand 43 rupees rupees as of 2021-22.
Mr. Pradhan also informed that the government has invested over 1 lakh crore rupees under the PM Poshan scheme. Speaking on One Nation, One Subscription (ONOS), Mr. Pradhan noted that nearly 13,000 e-journals are now accessible to students, and in the next three years, the government will invest six thousand crore rupees in this initiative.
