Gold prices today rose 50 rupees at Multi Commodity Exchange for August contracts. The precious metal was trading at 59,815 rupees per 10 gram. Silver also added 180 rupees to trade at 76,285 rupees per kilogram for September Contracts when reports last came in.
 
In the global markets, gold was trading down at 2,018 dollars 20 cents per ounce at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Silver was up to trade at 25 dollars and 30 cents per ounce in the intra-day session.
