Gold was trading up at the Multi Commodity Exchange for December contracts today. The precious metal was 308 rupees up to trade at 66,422 rupees per ten grams. Silver futures for December contracts were also up by 194 rupees to trade at 74,712 rupees per kilo when reports last came in.

In the global markets, gold was trading up at 2214 dollars and 80 cents per ounce at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Silver was also up to trade at 24 dollars and 70 cents per ounce in the intra-day session.
