In Telangana, river Godavari is flowing at 53 feet above the third warning level at Bhadrachalam as the river is receiving heavy inflows due to rains in upper riparian areas. The Revenue authorities have sounded the third danger signal as the river crossed 53 feet at the temple town last evening. The local authorities have been advised to take necessary action. The third warning has been issued at Bhadrachalam, and all officers are advised to take the necessary action. The District Collector Jitesh V Patil said the water level is gradually increasing due to incessant rains.
Officials have been directed to move people from flood-affected areas to rehabilitation centres and people have been requested to follow the advice and instructions of the district administration. He said people should not leave their houses and should call the control room for emergency services.
