Global stocks extend comeback rally, US benchmark Treasury yields touches a 16-year high

Global stocks today extended their comeback rally. The US benchmark Treasury yields touched a 16-year high on concerns those interest rates could stay higher for longer and the safe-haven dollar nudged lower from recent 10-week highs.
 
Asian share markets ended up. Japan's Nikkei-225, Hong Kong's Hang Seng, and China's Shanghai Composite index rose 0.9 percent each.

South Korea's Kospi gained 0.3 percent and Singapore's Straits Times index added 0.2 percent.
   
European Markets also logged gains in intra-day trade. France's CAC-40 and Germany's DAX, both surged 1.2 percent and London's FTSE-100 was up 0.7 percent when reports last came in.
