US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) President and CEO Mukesh Aghi has said that the G20 Summit in New Delhi marks a "monumental year" for India as the country has emerged as fastest-growing major economy and the most populous nation in the world. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has articulated India's vision for the G20 Summit. Mr Aghi said that India has landed on the moon, but now the world is set to land in India. USISPF President noted that India's G20 Presidency comes at a time of global economic and geopolitical headwinds. He stated that the world turns to India to be a voice for emerging economies and the Global South. Mr Aghi welcomed US President Joe Biden's visit to India. He said that Biden's meeting with PM Modi will reinforce the "strong bonds" that the two leaders demonstrated during the latter's State visit to the US in June. India is all set to host the G20 Summit scheduled to be held in New Delhi from September 9-10. India assumed the G20 presidency on December 1 last year and about 200 meetings related to G20 were organized in 60 cities across the country.
