Under India's presidency, the G20 Labour and Employment Ministers Meeting concluded in Indore, Madhya Pradesh today with the unanimous adoption of the Outcome Documents.
Overall 176 delegates including 26 Ministers from G20 Member and Guest countries participated in the meeting. Fifteen Heads and Representatives of OECD, ISSA, ILO and World Bank were also present.
Talking to the media, Union Minister for Labour and Employment Bhupendra Yadav informed that three G20 policy priorities were adopted by the member countries. These include Strategies to Address Skill Gaps Globally, an adequate and Sustainable Social Protection and Decent Work for Gig and Platform Workers and Sustainable Financing of Social Protection.
Mr. Yadav further added that in a historical step, G20 countries rallied behind Indian leadership by achieving consensus on all issues except just one paragraph on the geopolitical issues.
A heritage walk and bicycle rides between Boliya Sarkar Chhatri to Rajwada Palace in Indore will also be organised for delegates tomorrow.
