The G20 Digital Economy Working Group meeting that began in Bengaluru today under the India Presidency dwelt deep into priority areas of Digital Public Infrastructure, Security in the Digital Economy, and Digital skilling. Being the fourth and final meeting of the Working Group, it is giving the final shape to the G20 Digital Economy Ministerial Declaration. The Secretary in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology Alkesh Kumar Sharma informed during the inaugural event today that the meeting will iron out whatever little differences in the declaration. The draft declaration will be taken up for consideration and acceptance in the Digital Economy Ministerial Meeting scheduled on the 19th of August. Over 100 foreign delegates from G20 member countries, nine invited countries and five International Organisations including World Bank, UNESCO and UNDP are attending the meeting. The G20 Digital Innovation Alliance Summit will begin tomorrow and culminate on the 19th of August. Union Minister of State in the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Electronics and Information Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar will inaugurate the Summit. There is an exhibition organized at the venue where over 110 start-ups from 24 countries are participating along with the incubators, accelerators, corporate and State Government organisations.
