The 18th G20 Leader's Summit in New Delhi will be a culmination of all the G20 processes and meetings held throughout the year among ministers, senior officials, and civil societies. Preparations have been completed and leaders have started arriving in the city. Today we will have a look at the cuisines being prepared for delegates and guests.
The menu for visiting delegates will be dominated by local Indian flavours. G20 India Special Secretary Muktesh Pardeshi said, chefs were working diligently to craft a menu encapsulating the essence of India's rich culinary heritage. The menu features innovative dishes made from millets and diverse street food. Premier hotels in the city are also preparing to create unique cuisine that uses millet in a variety of dishes, including several fusion cuisines. They are presenting both Indian and foreign components in food to the foreign delegation.
Arrangement for Thaalis has also been made for the guests to promote Indian cuisine and food. The Foods and Deserts which will be served to world leaders include Ragi dosa, ragi laddoos, barley kheer, Ragi Paniyaram, Bajri Kheer, Bhapa Doi, Kaju Matar Makhana. Among the desi street food, foreign guests will also get to taste Gol Gappa, Dahi Bhalla, Samosas and spicy chaat. A curated tour of the 12 hundred acre Pusa-IARI campus, the cradle of the green revolution in India, has been organised for the first ladies and spouses of the leaders attending the G20 Summit to help them learn about India's rich agricultural heritage and taste a millet-based feast prepared by renowned chefs.
