Fuel prices in India are significantly cheaper compared to developed nations, says Union Minister Hardeep Puri

Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has said that the remarkable shift of the Indian economy from a fragile state to the fifth largest economy in the world is the result of consistent policies and decisions by the government. Addressing a press conference in Ahmedabad, Mr. Puri said that the budget is an important step towards making India one of the top three economies globally by 2047. He emphasized that the availability, accessibility, and sustainability of resources are among the government’s top priorities. Mr. Puri highlighted that fuel prices in India are significantly cheaper compared to those in developed and neighboring countries.

Mr Puri said, the budget places special emphasis on empowering the youth through skill development, strengthening infrastructure, and promoting green growth. The Union Minister also dismissed the opposition’s allegation that only Bihar and Andhra Pradesh had received special assistance in the budget.
