The second and final round of election to the French Parliament was held yesterday in Puducherry. The French Nationals residing in Puducherry cast their votes. The French Consulate has established two polling stations in Puducherry, one at the French Consulate and another at the French Institute, Puducherry.
The arrangements were made with the support of the Bureau de France in Chennai and local authorities. In the second round of the election, the field has narrowed down to two candidates- Frank Pajot of the Socialist Party and Anne Genetet from Mr.Macron’s Ensemble Centrist Alliance. The exact figure of turnout will be announced officially today.
