Four out of five major Asian indices logged gains today. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng climbed 2.8 per cent, China’s Shanghai Composite advanced 1.3 per cent, Japan’s Nikkei gained 0.2 per cent and South Korea’s Kospi added 0.1 per cent. Conversely, Singapore’s Straits Times Index fell 0.2 percent. Major European Indices were trading in negative territory. London’s FTSE was trading 0.26 per cent down, France’s CAC 40 fell 0.1 per cent, and Germany’s DAX was trading nearly flat when reports last came in.
