President of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and Gorkha Media Network’s then Managing Director, Rabi Lamichhane, has been sent to the District Prison of Rupandehi. The former Deputy PM and Home Minister was presented to the District Court, Rupandehi, Monday morning and sent to the prison following the completion of the necessary proceedings. Now, he remains in a separate structure of the prison.

Rabi Lamichhane, who faces charges of the misappropriation of the cooperative funds, was taken under control from Kathmandu on Friday night and brought to Bhairahawa on Saturday morning. It was decided to send him to confinement with the decision of the High Court to dismiss the verdict of the District Court, Rupandehi, to free him on bail of Rs 10 million.
