Former Boxing legend George Foreman has passed away at the age of 76. In a social media post his family announced his demise. Known as the Big George in the ring, Foreman had one of the most incredible and long-lasting careers in boxing history. He first burst onto the scene with a gold medal win at the 1968 Olympics, then went on to win the heavyweight world title twice-once in the early ’70s and again in 1994.
He also became the oldest heavyweight champion ever at the age of 45.
Foreman had a total of 81 fights during his career, with an overall record of 76 wins, 68 of which were by knockout. The boxing community mourned Foreman’s passing including legends Mike Tyson and Jake Paul.
