Foreign investors pump in nearly Rs 44,000 cr into Indian equities so far in July

Extended their buying streak in Indian equities, foreign investors pumped in nearly 44,000 crore rupees into the Indian equities markets so far in July. As per the depositories data, the foreign portfolio investors, or FPIs, invested a net sum of 43,804 crore rupees in the Indian equities from July 3 and 17. They also invested 2,623 crore rupees in the debt market during the same period, taking the total investment in the Indian capital markets to 46,427 crore rupees.  With this, inflow in the equity market reached 1.2 lakh crore rupees so far this year.
 This also marks the third straight month, when the net flows have surpassed 40,000 crore rupees mark. It was 47,148 crore rupees in June, the highest level since August 2022, and 43,838 crore rupees in May. Before that, FPIs invested 11,631 crore rupees in April, and 7,936 crore rupees in March.
