In Football, Colombia have reached the semifinal of the Copa America after defeating Panama 5-0. Colombian striker James Rodriguez scored one goal and set up two others to help his team reach the semifinal for the third time in the past four editions. Colombia will face Uruguay in the semifinals at Charlotte, North Carolina, US on Wednesday. In the previous two instances, Colombia lost at the semifinal stage, to Argentina in 2021 and to Chile in 2016.

Earlier in another fixture this morning, Uruguay defeated Brazil by 4-2 in a penalty shootout. The final of Copa America is scheduled for the 14th of July.
