Earlier, defending champions Mohun Bagan Super Giant beat Punjab FC 6-5 in sudden-death penalties at the Tata Steel Sports Complex stadium in Jamshedpur in the third quarterfinal. The match went into penalties after both sides ended a thrilling knockout clash 3-3 in regulation time. Mohun Bagan Super Giant will now face Bengaluru in the second semifinal in Kolkata on Tuesday. The first semifinal will be played between NorthEast United FC and Shillong Lajong FC on Monday in Shillong.
