In Bihar, flood water has started receding in several parts in the worst affected districts of Supaul, Sitmarhi and Darbhanga in the state. More than 15 lakh people have been hit by floods in 17 districts in the state. With improvement in the situation conditions in several flood-affected areas, the government machinery has started the drive to prevent the spread of the pandemic. Sanitation drives and sprinkling of bleaching powder are being done in the areas where the water has subsided.
