Flood in southern districts of West Bengal is due to lack of proper preparedness of state govt: Governor Dr. C. V. Ananda Bose

West Bengal Governor Dr. C. V. Ananda Bose has said that the flood in the southern districts of West Bengal is due to the lack of proper preparedness of the state government. He said there is no role of Damodar Valley Corporation DVC in it. The governor has written a letter to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee regarding the flood in the state. He said Bankura, Birbhum, and Paschim Medinipur districts do not come under the DVC, adding that the release of water from Mukutmanipur dam and the heavy rainfall in the catchment areas of Kangsabati, Silabati, and Dwarakeswar rivers are the reasons for the flooding of these districts.
