The Commerce and Industry Ministry today said that five key Rail and Road Infrastructure projects have been evaluated under the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan((PMGS-NMP) at the 85th meeting of the Network Planning Group (NPG). The Ministry said that the projects consisting of 2 of railways and 3 of highway development were evaluated for their conformity to principles of the initiative. These include – integrated development of multimodal infrastructure, last-mile connectivity to economic and social nodes, intermodal connectivity, and synchronized project implementation. The Ministry said that these projects will play pivotal roles in national development by boosting logistical efficiency, reducing travel times, and delivering substantial socio-economic benefits to the regions they serve.
