Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying Minister Parshottam Rupala today highlighted the need for sensitivity with animals. Speaking on the occasion of World Animal Day in New Delhi, the Minister said affection for animals and nature has always been part of India’s culture. He added that the well-being of the environment is necessary for our survival.
Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Dr. Sanjeev Balyan said, grassroots development is needed to support the animals. The Minister added that a balance of optimism and practicality is needed for animal welfare. The Minister highlighted the Goshala culture of Mathura, where people regularly donate to Goshalas in important issues such as marriage, celebrations, and death.
