In the FIH Pro Hockey League, both the Indian men’s and women’s teams suffered losses against the hosts, Belgium in Antwerp. The men’s team faced a defeat in the shootout, 1-3, after a draw of 2-2 in the stipulated time. Araijeet Singh Hundal and Sukhjeet Singh netted for the Men in Blue, while, Denayer Felix and Van Aubel Florent scored for the hosts.
Earlier, the Indian women’s team also lost to Belgium, 1-2, this evening.
The second half of the European leg will be played in London, England, next month. The first two legs of the FIH Pro League 2023-24 were played in the Indian cities of Bhubaneswar and Rourkela, in Odisha state.
