Holi being celebrated across the country with vibrant hues & festive joy; President, Vice Prez & PM extend greetings

Holi, the festival of colors, is being celebrated across the country today with traditional enthusiasm and joy. The festival marks the arrival of spring, symbolizes the triumph of good over evil, and fosters a spirit of unity and harmony. 

It transcends barriers of caste, creed, age, and gender, bringing people together in a vibrant celebration of togetherness, equality, and fraternity. Festivities began with Holika Dahan, observed a day before Holi, signifying the victory of righteousness.

President Droupadi Murmu today greeted countrymen on the auspicious occasion of Holi, the festival of colors. In a social media post, the President said that the festival is a symbol of India’s precious cultural heritage and gives the message of unity, love, and harmony.

Ms. Murmu urged the citizens to come together and take a pledge to fill the lives of all the children of Mother India with the colors of continuous progress, prosperity, and happiness.

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar today greeted citizens on the auspicious occasion of Holi. In a social media post, Mr. Dhankhar said that Holi marks the triumph of good over evil and the arrival of spring, symbolizing new beginnings and fresh perspectives.

He wished that this Holi serve as a reminder for every citizen to color the thoughts with compassion, actions with kindness, and vision with hope for a great nation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also wished the people on the occasion of Holi as well. In a social media post, he expressed that this festival, filled with joy and happiness, will bring new enthusiasm and energy into everyone’s lives while strengthening the colors of unity among the countrymen.

Minister of Information and Broadcasting Ashwini Vaishnaw has extended greetings to everyone on occasion of Holi festival. He extended his wishes in a social media post.

In Gujarat, the festival of Holi-Dhuleti is being celebrated with great zeal and fervor. Fagani punam festival, Fuldol Utsav are being organised with great pomp at Jagat Mandir of Dwarka, Ranchhoddas Mandir at Dakor and other prominent Shri Krishna temples in the state. 

In the most revered Dakor temple, people come by walking to celebrate holi with the god. Akashvani correspondent reports, Amid the slogans, Jay Dwarakadhish, Jay Shri Krishn and Jay Ranchhod, large number of devotees have thronged to Dwaraka, Dakor, Shamalaji and prominent Iskcon and Hare Krishna Temples in the state to take part in Ful Dol utsav and Fagani Punam Utsav on the occasion of Holi. 

At the famous Raja Ranchhodrai temple in Dakor, the day began with a Mangala Aarti early in the morning, setting the stage for a day of celebration. 

Over in Dwaraka, the festivities are in full swing at the Dwarakashish temple with priests filling the silver Pichkaris with Kusuda water and Abil Gulal to celebrate Holi with the god. 

Devotees will also join in the festival of colors, in the noon throwing Abil Gulal in joyous celebration.

People are celebrating the the festival of colours, Holi with much pomp and gaiety across West Bengal. Devotees are participating in the festival at Belur Math in Howrah district.

Gaudiya Math has also organised various rituals like Bhagwat Sabha, Gaur parikrama in Kolkata and and other parts of the state.

ISKCON of Mayapur in Nadia district is celebrating Holi with colourful procession and devotees are thronging at various centres of ISKCON in the state.

Holi is celebrated as Dol – Yatra in the state. People are celebrating Holi with environment friendly Organic Gulal and colours made from various flowers and other bio-degradable sources.

Administration and Police have made all arrangements for peaceful celebration of the festival. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has extended her greetings on the occasion of Holi and Dol Yatra.

In Uttar Pradesh, the joy of Holi is visible across the state from Braj mandal to Ayodhya Dham. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath flagged off the Bhagwan Nrisinh Vishwa Yatra in Gorakhpur today.

He flagged off the chariot after performing the aarti of Bhagwan Nrisinh and played Holi with the people with gulal.

The Chief Minister mentioned that festivals should be symbols of harmony, peace, and equality.

Extending greetings to public, the Chief Minister said Holi promotes the message of unity. Akashvani correspondent reports, in Braj region, people are celebrating holi with joy and enthusiasm. Different types of Holi including lathmar Holi, phoolon ki Holi, laddu maar Holi is part of the month-long Holi celebration in Mathura-Vrindavan.

Travelers from all over the world are experiencing the rich cultural heritage, vibrant colors and lively environment of holi in Mathura, Vrindavan and Barsana.

In Varanasi and Ayodhya, Gullal was offered to Shri Kashi Vishvanath and Shri Ramlala in the morning. People are celebrating the festival of colours’ with harmony.

High security arrangements have been made to maintain law and order situation in the state. Director General of Police Prashant Kumar informed that police units have been deployed in sensitive locations to maintain communal harmony. Extensive patrolling is underway in high-footfall areas, including festival venues.

BJP President and Union Minister J.P. Nadda celebrated Holi festival at his residence in New Delhi today. On the occasion, Party workers and others joined him in the celebrations and extended the greetings to to each-other. Delhi BJP chief Virendraa Sachdeva also graced the event.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has also extended her wishes for the Holi festival. In her message, Mrs. Gupta said that this festival is not just a celebration of colours, but a living symbol of victory of truth, strong bond of relationships and mutual brotherhood.

The Chief Minister wished that this colourful festival of Holi would bring countless happiness, immense love and harmony in everyone’s life.

In Gujarat, the festival of Holi-Dhuleti is being celebrated with great zeal and fervor. People are celebrating the festival of colors with great enthusiasm by throwing colors and Abil Gulal on each other.

Today, Phul Dolotsav and Phaguni Poonam are also being celebrated in the holy pilgrimage places of the state. Devotees gathered since early morning to participate in the Mangala Aarti of the temple of Raja Ranchhodraiji in Dakor.

About three to four lakh devotees had darshan of Lord krishna. Devotees come to Dakor on foot across the state. In Dwarka too, a large number of devotees are visiting the Dwarkadhish Jagat temple on the occasion of Dhuleti today.

A special festival darshan and Phul Dol Mahotsav have been organized from 1:30 pm to 2-30 pm today. Administration and Police have made all arrangements for peaceful celebration of the festival.

Holi festivities is in full swing in Madhya Pradesh. City squares, streets and neighborhoods in the state are replete with colors since morning. Braj style Holi was played at the residence of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. He showered flowers on Radha-Krishna. Our correspondent has the details.

Akashvani correspondent reports, Lord Mahakal in Ujjain played Holi first in the state. Today at 4 am, Baba Mahakal was smeared with gulal during the Bhasma Aarti.

In Maihar, abir and gulal were offered at the feet of Maa Sharda. On the occasion of Holi, a Holi Milan ceremony was organized at the Chief Minister’s residence in Bhopal today. BJP State President VD Sharma also participated in this program along with Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav.

A Holi procession is being taken out in Bhopal in which hundreds of people are celebrating the festival of colours.

In Indore, Holi Milan ceremonies are being organized in more than 100 colonies of the city. At the same time, crowds are also being seen at religious and tourist places like Pachmarhi, Bhedaghat, Maheshwar, Omkareshwar, Hanuwantiya and Patalpani.
