A road mishap at Sinam village in Tengnoupal District of Manipur claimed the life of a police constable today morning. The deceased has been identified as Md. Abdul Latif who was escorting Addl. SP of Moreh town. The vehicle carrying police personnel was travelling on the Imphal-Moreh highway toward Moreh town.

According to the Police report, one Assistant Sub Inspector was also injured in the accident. The injured personnel was brought to Raj Medicity Hospital in Imphal and is reported to be out of danger while the deceased has been brought to Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) morgue for post-mortem. According to the police, the vehicle lost control and overturned itself.
