The families of the 40 soldiers of CRPF who lost their life in Pulwama attack were paid compensation. Minister of state for Home Nityanand Rai informed this during the Question Hour in Rajya Sabha today. He also informed that a family member of these 40 soldiers was also given Government jobs as compensation. The compensation ranged from 1.5 crore rupees to around three crore rupees.
