Heavy lift rocket LVM3 carrying Chandrayaan – 3 satellites from Sriharikota today. India's yet another historical mission to the moon began today noon after the completion of the three stages. In an exclusive interview with Akashvani, Director of Indian Institute of Astrophysics Dr. Annapurni Subhramaniam said, the objective of Chandrayaan 3 is to overcome the requirement of landing and putting a rover on the moon which are the pre-requisites for further exploration of the moon. She also informed that the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is planning to launch the Aditya-L1 mission. Aditya-L1 is the first Indian space mission to observe the Sun and the solar corona. Under the mission, the spacecraft will be placed in the L1 orbit, which is the first Lagrangian point of the Sun-Earth system.
