Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday spoke about India’s rising prosperity. Amongst others, he cited the research report by senior journalist Anil Padmanabhan to underscore his point. In an exclusive interview with Akashvani News, Anil Padmanabhan spoke in detail about income tax returns spiking to 7.4 crore so far in financial year 2023-24 due to improved compliance and spread of economic activity across the country. He added that the government’s efforts have created an enabling environment for economic prosperity trickling down.
