Aditya Surjewala, the third generation of former Congress minister Shamsher Singh Surjewala, is contesting from the Kaithal assembly constituency on a Congress ticket, while Mr. Leela Ram, who defeated Randeep Singh Surjewala in the last election, is also in the fray as a BJP candidate. Leela Ram started his political career from student union elections and was elected MLA from here in 2000 on INLD ticket and in 2019 on BJP ticket. At the same time, Aam Aadmi Party has fielded Satbir Goyat and Jannayak Janata Party has fielded Sandeep Garhi from this constituency. Anil Tanwar from Indian National Lok Dal- Bahujan Samaj Party alliance and Jannayak Janata Party rebel Balraj Nauch are also in the fray. Therefore, the fight in Kaithal assembly constituency is considered to be very interesting. This time 215 polling centers have been set up in the Kaithal constituency, where 2 lakh 22 thousand 913 voters will exercise their right to vote. Out of these, 1 lakh 16 thousand 505 are male voters and 1 lakh 6 thousand 406 are female voters. Two third gender voters will also cast their vote in the constituency. Apart from this, there are also 536 service voters who will cast their vote through ballot paper.
