Electronics and Information Technology Secretary S Krishnan today inaugurated the Universal Acceptance Day 2025 celebrations in New Delhi. Addressing the gathering, Mr Krishnan emphasized the need to ensure that languages do not become a barrier in a multilingual country like India in the era of digital firsts and digital only. He highlighted that the Internet must reflect the country’s diversity. Mr Krishnan added that the government is committed to a multi-stakeholder approach to the way the internet is governed. He also underlined the importance of Bhashini software, which enables seamless translation from one language to another and enables people to access services in the language of their choice.
