Electioneering is gaining momentum for the bypolls to Dhanpur and Boxanagar legislative assembly seats in Tripura, scheduled for the 5th of next month. Addressing an election meeting in Boxanagar for party candidate Taffajal Hossain, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha took a swipe at Congress calling it an undisciplined party.
He said that Congress is gradually shedding its existence in Tripura. He asserted that by the next Legislative Assembly polls in 2028, both Congress and CPI (M) who are fighting the bye-polls in alliance will become microscopic.
Saying that Congress and CPI (M) are ignorant of the issues of common people, he added that the BJP has been continuously working for the development of people. He also said that health infrastructure is being given a boost in the State. The CPI (M) has fielded Mizan Hussain as its candidate from Boxanagar. Whereas, in Dhanpur, the BJP's Bindu Debnath is locking horns with CPI(M)'s Koushik Chanda. The results of the bye-election will be announced on the 8th of next month.
