In Tamilnadu, electioneering has reached a feverish pitch as prominent leaders of all the parties are campaigning. BJP leaders, J.P.Nadda, Rajnath Singh and leaders of other political parties are canvassing for their party candidates. Today Senior BJP leader and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has said that there should be a unified culture in the Country. In a road show at Tiruvannamalai, he said that BJP is popular all over the world and has also laid a foundation for growth in India. He said that for the DMK Congress combine, it is only the family but for BJP it is the Nation. Earlier, he was campaigning at Krishnagiri.

DMK youth wing leader and State Sports Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin blamed the Centre for the  inequal share of revenue in GST to the States especially for Tamilnadu. Electioneering at Modakurichi, he said that diversity should be respected in all the fields.
