Campaigning is in full swing for the remaining three phases of Lok Sabha elections. Senior political leaders are crisscrossing the states to hold public meetings and road shows to garner support for their parties.
Prime Minister and senior BJP leader Narendra Modi is holding multiple rallies in Bihar today. He addressed a public meeting at Hajipur, Muzaffarpur and Saran. He called upon the people of the state to cast their vote for the development of the country. He said, under NDA government, Indian economy is growing and more employment opportunities are being created. He accused RJD and Congress of making appeasement biggest weapon in politics. He also alleged that the two parties will never work for welfare of people as they are busy in amassing wealth for their next generation.
Earlier in the day, Mr Modi visited Takhat Sri Harimandir Ji Patna Sahib in Patna City. Takhat Sri Patna Sahib also known as Takhat Sri Harimandir Ji, Patna Sahib, is one of the five takhats of the Sikh community.
In the evening, Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to hold a mega road show at Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh. Mr Modi will be filing his nomination papers from his Varanasi Lok Sabha seat tomorrow.
Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi addressed a public meeting at RaeBareli in Uttar Pradesh. He promised that if Congress-I.N.D.I.A bloc comes to power at the Centre, then its first job will be to waive off loans of poor farmers.
Senior BJP leader Amit Shah held a rally at Dhule in Maharashtra. He said India will become the third largest economy if the Narendra Modi led NDA government is voted back to power. He said, during the 10 year rule of Congress, Indian economy stood at the 11th position. He said, the NDA government brought the country to the fifth position.
