Elaborate arrangements have been made for tomorrow’s immersion of Ganesh Idols in Telangana. Over one lakh Ganesh idols installed in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation limits will be immersed in various lakes and waterbodies after nine days of prayers. Over 100 locations have been identified including natural lakes and water bodies beside artificial lakes. Ahead of the Immersion of Ganesh Idols and Milad un Nabi, police have taken all necessary precautions to ensure calm in the city. 

About 50 thousand police have been deployed in and around the GHMC area for bandobast for the Ganesh processions. About 20 thousand idols are expected to be immersed in Hussain Sagar in the heart of the city. The civic authorities have made elaborate arrangements for immersion and deployed heavy cranes and other vehicles to help the immersion process. Meanwhile, the State Road Transport Corporation will be plying special buses and Hyderabad Metro Rail announced the extension of services till the early hours of Friday.
