'Ek Shaam Jawanon ke Naam'- a musical journey was organized by Akashvani at Attari Border in Punjab on Saturday evening with BSF Jawans and the youth.
The event was organized as a part of celebrations to mark India's G20 Presidency. It started around 4 pm at the Attari border and had the crowd in raptures asking for more.
Patriotic songs by Neha Vats Khankriyal and team regaled the audience. The highlight was rendition of song – 'Hind desh ke niwasi, sabhi jan ek hain' ( All Indians are United) in various languages followed by Vandemataram. G20 anthem was also another attraction for the participants.
The students of Khalsa College, Amritsar performed Giddha and Bhangra to recreate the aura of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam or One Earth- One Family-One Future, the theme of India's G20 Presidency.
The star attraction was the Beating Retreat Ceremony at Attari Border with BSF jawans showcasing India's pride and valour with their footsteps in presence of young students.
The series of events under the aegis of Akashvani will take yet another step forward on August 8, at Dronacharya College of Engineering in Gurugram, Haryana.
India will be hosting the G20 summit in New Delhi on September 9-10. The main event will be held at the state of art India International Convention and EXPO Centre at Dwarka in New Delhi. In the run-up to the big event, Akashvani has been organizing a series of events as India's public broadcaster and the world's largest broadcaster.
