The eighth edition of the Rozgar Mela, which was held in 45 different places across the country today. Various Union and state Ministers attended the event at different places which was virtually addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. PM distributed over 51 thousand appointment letters to newly inducted recruits through video conferencing.
 
The Rozgar Mela was inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting L Murugan at Pallipuram CRPF Group Center in Thiruvananthapuram today. The appointment letters were handed over to 291 candidates in Thiruvananthapuram. Appointment orders of 25 selected candidates were directly given by the Union Minister at the function. 1203 candidates from Kerala were appointed in the 8th phase.
 
In Bihar National Rozgar Mela was organized at Muzaffarpur and Patna where Union Ministers Pashupati Kumar Paras & Ashwini Kumar Choubey distributed appointment letters to newly recruited candidates in several CAPFs including SSB, CISF, CRPF, ITBP, Assam Rifles, and other central police organizations.
 
The 8th edition of the Rozgar Mela was also organized in Itanagar at North East Frontier Headquarters, Indo Tibetan Border Police Force today. Union Minister for Earth Sciences Kiren Rijiju attended the programme and initiated the distribution of appointment letters to the candidates.
 
Union Minister for Ports, Shipping & Waterways and Ayush, Sarbananda Sonowal handed over the appointment letters to the newly inducted 287 Central Armed Police Forces ( CAPF) candidates at the 8th 'Rozgar Mela’ in Guwahati, Assam today.
 
As part of the Rozgar Mela, Union Minister of State for Agriculture Shobha Karandlaje today distributed appointment letters to 206 persons at the event held at  Indo Tibetan Police Training Academy at Iluppaikudi, Sivaganga district of Tamilnadu today.
 
Nagaland also Joined with the rest of the country, organizing the 8th Tranche of Rozgar Mela. In a programme held at Assam Rifles Training Centre and School, Shokhuvi,  Union Minister of State External Affairs and Education Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh handed over appointment letters to newly 25 inducted recruits.
 
Minister of State for Home Affairs, Youth Affairs, and sports Nisith Pramanik today attended a Rozgar Mela in Gangtok.
