In the Kashmir Valley, eight members of a family, including five children, were killed when their vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a gorge in the Daksum area of Kokernag in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday. The deceased include a policeman, two women, and five children. According to official sources, the victims were traveling from Kishtwar to Marwah via Sinthan Top when their vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into the gorge at Daksum. The family of eight died on the spot.
