Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has launched multiple initiatives to strengthen School and Teacher Education in New Delhi on Saturday. Addressing the event, the Minister said that equal workforce participation by both men and women is required to make Viksit Bharat possible. He said, the country needs to build a work structure considering the needs of the world. The Minister also emphasised the need for the inclusion of Indian languages in the education system. He said, today, people who know less than 10 per cent of English have reached the moon. The Minister said, the country’s workforce now comprises 37 per cent women. He added that around 57 per cent of the country’s working-age population is employed. The Minister also said that there is a need to achieve a 70 per cent workforce participation rate in the country. He added, that the country can achieve it only when it understands this subject in its language.
