The Election Commission of India today issued directions to the Chief Electoral Officer of Jharkhand to consider the posting of 2017 batch IPS officer Rakesh Ranjan as Deoghar SP, 2006 batch IPS officer Annepu Vijaya Lakshmi as IG Dumka, 2010 batch IPS officer YS Ramesh as DIG, Palamu and 2019 batch IPS officer Sumit Kumar Agarwal as SP Rural Ranchi after their names were sent in the panel to the Commission by the State government. The ECI has also further directed Kailash Karmali of the 2017 batch of State Police Service to be posted as SP Traffic Ranchi with immediate effect. The Commission has also asked to send a compliance report by tomorrow at noon. Earlier, the ECI transferred several IAS and IPS officers in 20 districts of five States of Jharkhand, Odisha, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh and Assam on April 02 ahead of the General ELections 2024.
