Dubai Celebrates World Navkar Mahamantra Day at Indian Consulate

Dubai witnessed a significant spiritual gathering as the World Navkar Mahamantra Day was observed today at the Consulate General of India premises. The event, organized by JITO Dubai, brought together community members for a morning of collective chanting and reflection centred on the profound Navkar mantra.

The gathering held special significance as it preceded Mahavir Jayanti, the birth anniversary of Lord Mahavir, which will be celebrated tomorrow, April 10th. Participants engaged in the recitation of the sacred mantra, contemplating its principles of non-violence, self-purification, and universal well-being. The Navkar mantra, a central tenet of Jainism, served as the focal point of the day’s activities, emphasising themes of peace, unity, inner light, and spiritual enlightenment. The event highlighted the mantra’s capacity to promote harmony and compassion across diverse communities, reflecting the core values of Jain philosophy.

The celebration in Dubai coincided with similar observances across the globe, including events in New Delhi, where Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and participated in Navkar Mahamantra Divas at Vigyan Bhawan. In his address, PM Modi highlighted the profound spiritual experience of the Navkar Mantra, emphasising its ability to bring peace and stability to the mind. “There is an extraordinary feeling of tranquillity which transcends words and thoughts, resonating deeply within the mind and consciousness,” the Prime Minister remarked during the New Delhi event. He described the mantra as a unified flow of energy that embodies stability, equanimity, and a harmonious rhythm of consciousness and inner light.

The Dubai celebration reflected the growing global recognition of the Navkar mantra’s significance and its universal message of peace and spiritual harmony, bringing together members of the community in a shared expression of devotion and reflection.
