The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade and the Ministry of Commerce with the Ministry of Rural Development launched One District One Product, a program to promote the indigenous crafts and artisans at SARAS Aajeevika Store in New Delhi on Saturday.
 
Inaugurating the One District One Product Wall, the Additional Secretary for Ministry of Rural Development, Charanjit Singh said that the initiative stands as a symbol of the harmonious partnership between two vital ministries aimed to guide consumers and enthusiasts towards emporiums and magnifying the visibility of India's exceptional products.
 
The Ministry of Commerce said that the program selects, brands, and promotes one unique product from each district, showcasing the diverse range of products across the country which encompasses various sectors, including handlooms and handicrafts
 
Ministry added that with the One District One Product Program, it is creating a special marketplace for their well-crafted products by implementing innovative features such as product tagging and story cards.
 
Addressing the SARAS Aajeevika, the Director of Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Supriya Devasthali said that this initiative is a strong supporter of women's empowerment, with a special focus on uplifting women artisans and Self-Help Groups.
