Benchmark domestic equity indices today ended with modest gains, led by the Information Technology and Consumer Durables sectors. The 30-share index at Bombay Stock Exchange, Sensex, rose 115 points to close at 76,520. Similarly, the National Stock Exchange Nifty-50 added 50 points to settle at 23,205.
The broader market indices at BSE also ended in positive territory. The Mid-Cap index surged over 1.7 percent and the Small-Cap index advanced over 0.6 percent.
