Domestic benchmark indices today logged modest gains. The Sensex and the Nifty added around 0.2 percent amid positive global cues following the Federal Reserve’s policy meeting minutes, which indicated a rate cut in next month.

At the closing bell, the BSE Sensex closed 147 points, or 0.18 percent higher at 81,053. The NSE Nifty is up by 41 points, or 0.17 percent, to close at 24,811.

In the Indian Bullion Market, 24 Karat Gold was trading at 71,840 rupees per 10 grammes, and silver was trading at 85,500 rupees per KG. In the global crude market, Brent crude was trading at 76 dollars and 45 cents per barrel when the report last came in.
