Domestic benchmark indices recovered from their earlier losses to trade in positive territory in the afternoon trading session. Meanwhile, Sensex had reached a fresh high at 85,077 and the Nifty also reached peak of 25,984 in the early trade today.

At 2 pm, BSE Sensex was trading up 84 points to 85,012, and Nifty-50 was at 25,969 with a marginal rise of 31 points. Both the indices gained over 0.1 percent.

In the broader market at BSE, the MidCap index was trading 0.2 percent up and the SmallCap index rose 0.1 percent, when the reports last came in.
