The prestigious Doha Diamond League, part of the elite Diamond League circuit, will commence tonight in the Qatari capital. Considered the pinnacle of one-day athletics meetings sanctioned by World Athletics, the event attracts the world’s finest athletes. India’s ace javelin thrower and the current World Champion, Neeraj Chopra, along with Asian Games silver medalist Kishore Jena, will kick off their 2024 campaign at the Doha Diamond League. This marks Kishore Jena’s debut at the Diamond League. With just over two months to go until the Paris Olympics, this will be our first look at India’s two premier javelin throwers after their gold and silver-winning exploits at the Hangzhou Asian Games. The event starts at 10:12 PM Indian time.
Beyond the Indian contingent, the Doha Diamond League boasts a stellar lineup. Global champions Mary Moraa, Steven Gardiner, and Nina Kennedy are just a few of the other stars set to light up the track in Doha.The Diamond League is an annual series of top-tier track and field competitions organized by World Athletics.
