Today is the Parkash Purb of the ninth Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib ji. Born in Amritsar in 1621, he was the youngest son of the sixth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji. Known as a principled and fearless warrior, he was a learned spiritual scholar and a poet. Nagar Kirtans are being organised at various places in Punjab.
