Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that the development of the eastern region is essential for the development of India. Talking to a private news channel while campaigning in Bihar, Mr Modi said eastern India should be turned into a growth engine. He said his government has laid emphasis on the growth of infrastructure, education and health sectors in the region. Mr Modi also exuded confidence that BJP will win more than 400 seats in the Lok Sabha polls 2024.
