Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan meets Russian cosmonaut Korsakov, discusses space park in Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Forest, Environment, Science, and Technology, Pawan Kalyan, has said that the nation can progress further on the path of development by effectively utilizing the results of space research.

He highlighted the importance of fostering an understanding of space science from the student level and assured that the government is prepared to provide the necessary encouragement to help students become future scientists.

Yesterday evening, Russian cosmonaut Serg Korsakov and representatives from Space Kidz India met with Pawan Kalyan at his residence in Hyderabad.

During the meeting, they discussed their research and satellite developments. They also demonstrated the functionality of a recently developed micro-satellite deployer.

Dr. Srimathy Kesan, Founder and CEO of Space Kidz India, proposed the establishment of a Space Park in Andhra Pradesh to spark interest in space science among students.

She noted that while such parks exist only at NASA, there are none in India. She suggested that a Space Park in Andhra Pradesh would significantly enhance students’ understanding of the space sector.

Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan responded positively to this proposal.

On this occasion, Pawan Kalyan honored Serg Korsakov and presented him with a model of the Chandrayaan-3 rocket.

Mr. Serg, who spent six months in space, shared his experiences and the challenges he faced during his time in orbit.
